I earned my Bachelor's degree in graphic design...
I think old advertising is FABULOUS!
These old sugar sacks... treasures as they were...
Have been WREN-A-CIZED!
Our Wren's have not arrived yet...
Perhaps the snow on mother's day encouraged them
to head south for the summer?
I have my camera ready...
They're song is so cheery!

I just came back from your ETSY site. I cannot believe how little your pen and inks are. (The ones you did right before the sacks.)
Some of them are like little inches!!

These are so neat!!! "My" wrens have not arrived yet either and I'm wondering why...they are about a month late. Hope they get here soon as spring just isn't the same without their songs!
These are just lovely!
how perfectly darling are these?!
Love these, Michelle!
I made a quick ink sketch of a bird's nest last year, quite small, with three little eggs.
I look at your work and my mouth drops open. I imagine that you whip these babies out in a matter of seconds while baking a cake and talking on the phone, and they all turn out gorgeous. Sigh.
Wising you a lovely Sunday!

I do believe you draw on everything and you must draw all the time. What kind of pen do you draw with?

Michelle -
I just did a little Spring posting and I featured the beautiful bird sketch that I purchased from you. I created a link to your lovely blog. I am happy to share your amazing talents with my friends.

These are the most beautiful little sacks I have seen. Brilliant!
Oh Michelle~I just love your sweet little birds!
These are so lovely!
Yesterday morning I was enjoying my coffee at the kitchen table and I looked up to see a fluttering in the pine tree outside the kitchen window. To my delight there was a very young wren sitting on a branch preening. He looked all fluffy and I wondered if he'd just had a puddle bath somewhere. Then his mom landed and his beak opened really WIDE and she fed him. I realized he looked fluffy because he was just a baby. He must have just fledged. His mom flew away and he sat on the swaying pine branch and closed his eyes. The sun must have felt so nice on new feathers. Eventually he tucked his beak into his wing and had a nice nap until mom returned.
I did have to go do something else with my day, but it was just so wonderful. Today, I came into work and saw WRENS on your blog. How fitting! I love them all, Michelle. You're a stellar and wonderful artist.
Keep smiling!
Abby :)
Oh Michelle, I love those! Your little wrens are the perfect addition to those old sugar sacks! They are just too sweet! Theresa
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see these little wrens hopping across sugar sacks.
I love how you have them standing on words and ledges! So cute!
