Good Morning, Sweet Friends!
Thank you for all of your wonderful comments on
my posts... I love to hear from each of you~

As promised, I sketched more baby birds!
I just added four more to my Etsy store~
Please click here to go visit...

Studio collections...
Seems as if I have feathers tucked everywhere~
In a jar, safe from curious kitties!

Here a feather... there a feather...

Trying to gather "Palmer"
PAL...
As a graphic designer, all type is fantastic!

A peek into one tray...

These very tiny shells have beautiful~ intricate patterns!
Seemed to be the perfect place for my
very tiny feathers... their details just as gorgeous.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Wishing you all that is wonderful~

Duck... Duck... GOOSE! Wee Ducklings...

If it has feathers...
And will let me get a little close...
I'll draw it!

These little friends were in a large "playground"
display at the New York State Fair!

Our son had the joy of holding one~
He couldn't believe how soft they were...

I had the camera!
Such sweet little faces... even when they become adults~
Please see these and more in my Etsy store!

Hope you have a ducky-day!
(Sorry! I had to say it...)

Baby Birds... Bird Egg Illustrations...

Every now and then a tiny bird will show up
at our feeder. I'm never sure what the bird is~
They are just sweet and have a quick song to share.

So these little friends are in my sketch book~
I've added them to my Etsy shop...

Loved sketching the eggs... the patterns...

So many eggs... so little time!

Hope you have a nice evening~

Spring Originals... Bunnies & Chicks...

Sweet chicks... bunnies... pastel buttons!
~Spring is in the air~

I just listed these new originals!
Later today... even more originals will be available
from my little Etsy store.
Please click here to see my store...

The bunny hop!

I was just telling one of my blogging friends that we
miss having bunnies in our yard because we have
Miz Fox and her ever-expanding-family!
Last night my hubby walked in and said he
accidentally frightened a bunny away from the garage!
The snow has a layer of crisp ice...
No tracks to be seen...
Little bunny had some delicious rinds & peelings
for breakfast this morning!

Hope your day has a sweet surprise in it!

Martha Stewart Edge Punch Fun #3...

I just love the quality of these punches!
A sweet blogger friend asked if I had stock
in Martha's company~ heart stock!

Martha and her artists, creative group, amaze me...

I have been busy with work deadlines...
Having a great time sketching on fabric
whenever I get a free moment!
I wanted to toss something together quickly
just in case you had not seen these cute punches~

They are flexible, depending on your paper.
If you worked the paper fibers these would
probably even shape into a circle of chicks!

I remember humming this song when I was young.
Usually when I was doing my chores...
Especially weeding the garden!
Ugh... the veggie lines went on for days!

Without details...

With a quick line of green colored pencil...
Little black dots for eyes!
I think it looks cute either way~

Hope your day is happy!

Little Sparroooow... Little Sparrow...

American Goldfinch... with his eye on the feeder!
Clusters of these sweet friends perch
in the honeysuckle bush beside my studio.

I had a wonderful time sketching these
sweet little sparrows! Chipping sparrows feed on
the ground year round here. Their sweet rust
tops show up brightly against the snow cover~

I listed these and more at my Etsy store
Please click here to visit!

Thank you for so many sweet comments about
my sketches! I'm so thrilled to share these
one of a kind treasures~
I love owning originals...
I'm humbled and blessed to know you do, too!

Hope your week is wonderful!

Bunnies in Grass...

Another of Martha's amazing edge punches!
This one folds up, too... I loved adding the little white cotton tails!

I remember, as a child, laying on my tummy~
On the living room floor...
Watching TV (we had color!)
Eating my hollow Easter bunny.
We were allowed "limbs."
Flower base today, legs tomorrow... tail/bottom next...
Until the head.
Then I just had to eat the whole thing
or it would have been odd.
The only part of the hollow treat I didn't eat...
The sugar eye.
Maybe it was too weird to eat an eye?
Or, maybe, it's because it wasn't chocolate!

More Fabric Songbirds...

Spring Robins!
I could just hug them!

Just put these to my Etsy shop~
The next batch of illustrations coming soon...
Chickadees
American Goldfinch
Chipping Sparrows
Robins
Spring Chicks...
More and more feathered fun!

Somethin' to Crow About...

Saw three crows sitting on a limb the other day...
They were having a fine time...
Our songbirds were intimidated by their visit.

When I got to the window I saw three
gray squirrels on the feeders!
We can pound on the windows, they pause...
...look to see what the noise is & continue eating.
No fear...
Until...
I run around in the snow
with a wooden spoon on a metal pan!

The neighbors must wonder!
The songbirds all sit nearby, cheering~

But crows do have a cute side...
So I decided to make some goodies for my Etsy!
Please click here to visit my shop

Here a crow... there a crow...

A sweet little baby bird!
You knew I had to have more little feathers~

Chickadee! de! dee!

Hope you're having a nice Friday night!

Birds on a Wire...

I love gift cards to craft stores!
You know I love birds...

Found this sweet "Birds on a Wire" edge punch
from the Martha Stewart collection at Michael's.

First punch...

Line up with printed edge for second punch...

They're so sweet!

I used a page with tiny type...

A "good thing"...

The sides fold up!

Hope your Friday is wonderful~

Mid 1800's Engraving Cat's Cradle...

I remember playing this for hours...

Here A Chick... There a Chick... Everywhere A...

These little Spring chicks are so much fun!

Here they sit...
On a platter... waiting for their dip in the stain
for that yummy aged look!

Pictures... buttons... feathers!
Our cats, all three, sitting behind me on the floor
hoping that a feather will fall!

Now they're all nesting in my Etsy shop!
~Please click here to visit~

There are so many more of these
sweet little illustrations
to share with you!

Thank you for all of your sweet comments~
I just love visiting each of you & your fantastic blogs!

Sketching Bunnies & Birds on Fabric...

My heart is set on spring!
We still have plenty of snow-filled days ahead...
...these just warm me up!

Just listed twelve new pieces & collections
on my Etsy shop...
Please click here to see my shop!

You knew there would be more birds!

Nests... bunnies... eggs... chicks...
I know it is spring somewhere!

Wrens have the most beautiful song!
Our wren house is ready for a new brood~
Once they have filled their tiny house
with twigs and heavy reed pieces,
they perch in the lilac trees and sing
us the most beautiful songs~

For now I have fun sketching from my journals.
Hope your week is going great!
