Winter wren needle felted~

This little wren friend isn't so little...

Her name is Winnie Wren!
She is looking forward to a coat made of wool~

Sweet Winner before I started to add her feathers!
I start most of my needle felting with plain, raw wool.
No color, to save money~

I found this old wood turning well over 15 years ago...
It has been waiting for the perfect project!
I think it will make a neat perch for our Winnie girl~

Hope your week is off to a great start, Friends!

Needle felted Spring chicks!

Cities are preparing for their St. Patrick's Day parades...
So are my fuzzy little friends!

They want to add a little Springtime into our March!

They are cheery and bright yellow!

Some have fancy hairstyles!

Added these little loves to my Etsy shop...

Fields of daisies soon...
White 'stuff' from the blizzard will melt away and
nourish the wild flowers~

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

"IMPOSTOR!!"

Dressed in their finest~ they're off to the Bunny Hop!

Needle felted sheep...

This furry love made his way home for Christmas~
He is living in Nevada with one of my dearest friends!
Wanted to share bits of how I felted him~

I gathered wool from three New York State farmers...
It was a joy to meet them & to visit the sheep in their pastures!

It is fun to hold larger needle felted pieces...
If I knew how to do this as a young teen my bedroom would have
quickly become over-run with wool animals!

First layer of curls...

Little color to face & ears...

Portrait with his long curls on~

Still making a few Christmas gifts for family celebrations later this month...
I invested in a few reverse/inverted barb needles.
When I work on a project with them I will share photographs!

Hope you're days are filled with wonderful~

Just added these little ones to my Etsy shop!

Little curly hedgehogs keep finding their way into my heart~

Rich, hand-painted curls from these sweet loves~ Wensleydale lambs!
Karen brought me out to meet them and they are gorgeous!
Another local farmer that I was thrilled to meet at the Hemlock Fiber Festival~

She appears to have been out in the wind for a time~

Just look at those curls!!
She is beautiful~

Sweet "Waves" has seaside, aqua, sky-blue curls!

Wool Hedgehogs~

My heart has found some new little friends~
They were waiting in a tuft of wool!
I discovered the most beautiful curly locks at a fiber festival this Fall.

This past week I needle felted a tiny foundation piece~
I posted a picture of it on my Facebook page to share what I was up to.
Everyone left sweet messages that it looked like a Hedgehog!
Well... the little critter ended up turning into a teddy bear.
No Hedgehog...

Creative juices flowing~
I gathered some wool and needle felted a basic hedgie shape...
I thought curls would be fun!

They are the sweetest little critters~
I hope they make you smile!

This afternoon they were all lined up & waiting for their photo shoot.
Their little "spool stools" sitting next to them!
Listed some of these little loves in my Etsy Shop~

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
With the cool winds whipping around I have been catching up on studio projects~
Tea and wool!
