Peace on Earth
May your Christmas be filled with hope and
Joyous memories of those who have touched your heart~

I'm looking forward to a few days off with hubby~
Pushing some loops, pulling some loops & slow stitching...
A batch of cookies or two~
Alaina & I have been planning a day of paper mache, too!

Sharing how I finished one of my latest patterns~
Home in New England

I used four stands of wool yarn.
Long enough length to trim around the entire piece.
Whip stitch in place with DMC floss.
Sometimes your piece will try to curl as you're finishing it...
No worries, you can press it at the end.
Finished side down against a plush towel, mist pressing cloth
with water & iron on medium heat.

Wishing you every joy of this beautiful season~
Praying you all stay strong & healthy!

Vintage fabric & ink~

Found this small piece of fabric in a basket at an antique shop~
It is linen-like...
Cotton-like with a texture?
I don't know my fabrics, I just LOVE to draw on them!

Sepia ink on soft white~
Little faces very happy to have a sunny day!

The hum of bees in the gardens~
The most welcome sound!

I think of so many things when I'm heading to the garden!
New designs...
What's for dinner... laundry... dishes... dusting...
Calendar programs... fabric collections...
When I bend to pull some weeds~ those thoughts vanish.
To touch the earth...
Face to face with flowers...
Bees swarming around my head...
I'm content.
My mind quiets~
My soul is fed.

Friends in nature~
Loved, treasured and nurtured!

Hope you have a few minutes to take a little walk today~

Bunnies promising Spring~

The snow keeps falling...
The temps keep dropping...

The days are getting longer!
Spring promises to be on time~

Hope your week is off to a great start!

A little nibble of chocolate to start Monday off right!

Sweet visits from friends passing by...

Hearts sharing...

Bunny loves wanting to hang up the scarf & hat for a few months!

A song in your heart...

A hop in your step!
Wishing your hearts all this and so much more~

Winter Watercolors~

Hope your Thanksgiving Holiday has been filled
with wonderful memories~

Walnut ink and watercolor play...
In between special orders, holiday cooking and dressing the house!

Winter friends that have disappeared from our lawn for now...
We are enjoying a warm and sunny day!

Not a creature was stirring...

Meadows filled with joyful conversations~

We woke to a blanket of wet snow Thanksgiving morning...
Every tree was dressed in white~
The gardens coated with shimmering layers!
While the pies were baking I sketched Queen Anne's Lace~

Wishing you a joy-filled week, Sweet Friends!

Strawberry Patch...

Do you suppose they are sharing strawberry recipes?
The mouse looks like he's catching his breath!
That's a big berry for a wee little guy to carry all the way home~

Hope your 'strawberry season' is sweet and sunny!

Monday, March 31

Here a bunny... there a bunny!

We had a heavy, cold, blanket of snow to greet us Sunday morning...
I drew this little friend.
Just a little reminder that Spring is just around the corner.
I'm not sure which corner... but it is coming!
The Red Wing Blackbirds keep reminding me~

Bunnies are still munching on the cuttings we toss on the compost pile...
They're itching to visit the REAL veggie garden!

We have had some beautiful night skies...
Crisp & clear!

Love how this little sparrow is sticking her chin out~

Lambs will be spotting the fields soon!

I say a little prayer for you and give thanks~

This bunny has a sweet tooth!

Wee mouse sharing her heart~
Hope your week is off to a great start!

Fabric illustrations with love...

The sweetest of gifts~
Your love.

How it brightens the long, gloomy days...
Cheers a stranger...
Helps other hearts smile!

I remind myself to let things go...
Let my heart be gentle, forgiving and open.

Love & sweetness~ a natural attraction!

How sweet it is that song birds perch and share their song~
Not expecting anything in return.

Bringing joy that cannot be measured...

I went to a Valentine's 'gathering' when I was little... a faint memory.
All generations were there, mingling. Visiting. Laughing.
I remember that it was loud~ until a slow dance played softly.
Watching couples dance cheek to cheek...
Their faces touched...
Their hearts were connected.

Wishing your heart joy~
Always.

Pen & ink originals sharing their hearts...

I just LOVE the Christmas Season~
Yes... folks are in a hurry and traffic is crazy at times...
We do our best to hibernate!

To cozy in and spend time catching up with each other...

To touch base and reflect on memories, stories and experiences...
New friends and different paths!

Watch favorite movies that make us laugh--- again and again.
Watching movies together that require a box of tissues...

Time to remind each other~ just how much they are loved!

Little moments in nature...

Hope you are enjoying quiet moments with those you love~
Wishing you a joy-filled season!
