Gorgeous Goldfinch...

A snippet from one of my paintings...
I love to hang laundry on the line.
Saves loads on the electric bill in the summer
and gets me out of the studio for a few minutes!
Summer sheets snapping in the warm breeze~
The only trouble I seem to have...
The sweet little Goldfinch love to
perch on the lines.
They just hang out and chat...
...while the clothes are there!
Yuck.
Sometimes need rewashing.
They must like the fresh scent!
Hope your day is sunny & warm!

Each Day...

"I have always felt that the moment when
first you wake up in the morning
is the most wonderful of the
twenty-four hours.
No matter how weary or dreary
you may feel,
you possess the certainty that...
absolutely anything may happen.
And the fact that it
practically always doesn't,
matters not one jot.
The possibility is always there."

Little Red Fox Rescue...
We named this sweet little girl "Ruby"
She's a red fox that was hit by a car last Sunday morning.
She's doing GREAT!
My husband had his drum cymbals in hand and
was heading out the door for church...
He wanted to go take care of the "squirrel" that had
been hit in the road before the kids got up.
As he stood at the side of the road with shovel in hand...
a car blew by (our country road is very fast)
SWEET lil' Ruby lifted her head!!!
She was alive & she wasn't a squirrel!
Hubby went off to church...
The kids & I jumped into action...called a rescue shelter
got the shivering little baby warmed up, tucked in
the kitty kennel and delivered for rehab.
She is a miracle.
Her face so sweet...she just cuddled up in
the blanket like a wee-little baby...happy to be warm.
Thank heavens for people who help them~
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

"Do you know," Peter asked...
"Why Swallows build in the eaves of houses?
It is to listen to the stories..."

Garden Forget Me Nots...
Remembering so many stories that I've shared
with our children. They're growing into
wonderful young adults...going out with friends~
"Doing their own things" from time to time.
It is exciting to watch them jump in...
...even more exciting to see
what they come home & share.
...what they remember!
Hope you've had a great week to remember...

"In the first grade, I already knew the pattern
of my life. I didn't know the living of it,
but I knew the line...
From the first day in school
until the day I graduated,
everyone gave me one hundred plus in art.
Well, where do you go in life?
You go to the place where you got
one hundred plus."
Louise Nevelson
