Creative Refill...

Through the holidays my studio space
had become a collect-all.
I have spent the better part of this week tossing,
organizing and finding things I thought were lost!
Now it is clean.
I'm ready to begin new collections.
But first...
I'm going to take time to visit a favorite friend.
Beatrix Potter

These are three of my favorite books...
I'm not much of a reader~
I prefer to design, sketch & garden...craft, movies...

But Beatrix is a treasure...

Miss Potter is a FANTASTIC movie...
Cozy pj's, warm tea...cookies to nibble~
Keep a few tissues nearby.

DK Series books are full of visuals...
We must have 20 or more by now in different subjects.

Such a fun peek into her life & work.

Such creative costumes!
Another of my favorite movies...Finding Neverland.
Again...keep the tissues handy.

In the movie, I love how her little friends
come to life from time to time...

An artist's joy~
To bring the ordinary to life in a different way...

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday afternoon!

Hi Michelle, I just got up and onto the computer...saw your post about Beatrix Potter. I didn't know there was a movie about her? What is the name of it and I'll see if I can rent a CD. I always enjoy your posts, and love to see your artwork! Have a great week!

Michelle, Wonderful collections! My favorite picture of her is where she is elderly and standing by that doorway with a cane - she looks so huggable and approachable! Like you!

Lovely blog and pictures. Now you are going to say how very lucky I am as I live about 40 minutes from her home. A couple of years ago went to Ambleside to an exhibition of her originals, mainly rabbit drawings, and was privelidged to also see her handmade silk portfolio. Eileen

Hi Michelle,
I have never seen either of those movies but just called my Mother in law who has them both, so she is bringing them over. Can't wait to see them. I hope your weekend has been a good one.
Hugs,
Kathy

Michelle, I love BP. I painted BP murals in our nursery a little over 10 years ago. We now call it the Beatrix Potter Room. Love her little stories and drawings.

Hi Michelle, I love Beatrix Potter's natural history drawings, especially her rabbits.

It is good to have a clear out and a re-organize every now and again, isn't it?

Thanks for your kind comments.

PK...Most stores & video rentals have "Miss Potter" it is a nice family movie...it is not a kids "fun-type" movie. Younger ones might get a bit bored...I always watch the movie first & you'll know if it's right for your children. Our children love it...but think it's sad. :)
