The woman on Etsy that copied my title & description listings has now infringed directly on my artwork. She copied my original bunny design. ((also owls & birds)) She has drawn a rabbit that looks nearly exact to mine. That is COPYRIGHT infringement. She is breaking copyright laws. PLEASE look for the ribbon across my work that reads, 'Copyright Michelle L. Palmer" when purchasing from Etsy. All of my designs have this ribbon. You can add MY original illustrations in your quilts, sewing projects, etc. as original works of art. I would never copy another artist--- what you purchase from me is one of a kind & safe to add to your projects. It is not legal for this designs to be duplicated. That is stealing.
This breaks my heart.
This woman is trying to fool people into purchasing her art...
I'm sorry to bother you with this. It is a legal matter that is being reported...
I feel it is important to make you aware.
I feel it is important to make you aware.
Thank you for your kindness & support... I will continue to bring new treasures to my shop.
I have been drawing these same little loves for many years...
They are from my heart~
The infringer has copied very closely... as to confuse the buyer.
My birds, my owls and now my bunnies.
I can't imagine waking up and thinking,
"I'm not going to be creative today..."
"I'm not going to be creative today..."
"Instead---- I'm going to copy Michelle's artwork!"
Can you imagine?
I wouldn't be able to hold the pen!!!
I am sorry this is happening...
How I love my blog to always be cheery and uplifting!
This infringer doesn't get me down...
I will not stop being creative!
I will always have a song in my heart~
FOR I AM HONEST and TRUE.
Please watch for my copyright ribbon when you're purchasing.
If you're looking for a Michelle L. Palmer original~
They will continue to be there!
This matter has been reported.
Hugs to each of you~
Thank you for your time~
It is so sad ..... Good thing you do point out here.
ReplyDeleteCopy there is probably everywhere. What do these people think you are? These people feel so poor, no ideas ....
Your art is so full of heart. This you can see on their drawings.
I hope I wrote it correctly. Unfortunately I have no words ...
Omg! How sad!
ReplyDeleteI am speechless.
ReplyDeleteSending hugs of comfort, support, and love your way ...
Judy x
I'm so sorry this has happened to you. What a shame...and it is stealing plain and simple. Sending you some sweet hugs this morning, Diane
ReplyDeleteThat person will get their 'reward' someday, and hopefully it's sooner rather than later. I'm so sorry this has happened to you.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to read that! Can you report this on etsy and on some industrial property agency?
ReplyDeleteBest regards from Barcelona,
Marta
So sad that people have to do this.
ReplyDeleteI love your artwork!
Thanks for pointing this out.
Good Luck Friend!
Prim Blessings
Robin
Oh, so sad to read this. Your work is so nice! I hope you can stop this.
ReplyDeleteHow very sad this is happening to you Michelle. I am so sorry. HUGS
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to read about this sad episode Michelle, unfortunately this kind of thing has been going on for years, I have noticed finished items sold as "own pattern/design" and then by sheer chance, I have actually come across the original pattern designer, very sad indeed when the original artists creativity is not recognised. Please do not let this set back put you off or get you down.
ReplyDeleteThat is so disheartening that someone would stoop so low and copy another persons artwork. I'm sorry this is happening to you. On a positive note....love your bunnies too! My favorite one is 5th from the bottom going up. :)
ReplyDeleteHow awful that this is happening to you. Sending you hugs,xx
ReplyDeleteDear Michelle,
ReplyDeleteI believe this is one of those cases when we have to pour on love, prayers and our healing energy on the offending person like rivers... she is surely not realizing what she is doing (I want to believe that), and if she does, she needs even more love from all of us. You have a beautiful, luminous heart- please do not let anger, resentment or sadness touch it...
Love from
Monica xoxo
Michelle, I am so very sorry that you are going through this. Unfortunately, thieves thrive here on the internet and I have had other friends have to deal with the same thing. Regardless of how closely she copies (read steals!) your art, it will never be the same because your beautiful work is created with love and caring and imagination and her's is created with malice and dishonesty. Wishing you every success in having her prosecuted to the full extent of the law and sending hugs and positive and uplifting thoughts to you, Deb
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you are aware of this person and are following up on getting it stopped as soon as possible. She must be reading your blog, so now she must know that she has been found out. Unfortunately, there are many unscrupulous people in the world, but I think the "good guys" outnumber them. Makes me think of an old song--"May the bird of paradise fly up your nose--may an alligator caress you with his toes---" Sending hugs and support to you.-Anita
ReplyDeleteYou have our full support. My husband and two of my kids are artists, and this is just about the worst thing I can imagine. Shame shame shame to this sad little person.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry this is happening to you. I just found your blog and love all your wonderful artwork! Shame on the person copying you. Hope they stop!! I'm a New Follower of your inspiring blog.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jody
I'm so sorry this happened to you and I'm really happy to hear that you've taken steps. This happens all too often to artists and in this world of greater social media it amazes me that these people think they can get away with this! Too often artists feel they can't do anything - that it would cost too much - but we need to take a stand as artists and followers of wonderful artists like yourself - and let others know as well. I will certainly spread the word.
ReplyDeleteSorry you've been infringed in such a way. The rabbits are nicely drawn.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
Your notes ALWAYS touch my heart~ especially these messages!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your friendship!
Thank you for your support and encouragement~
Just because (us) artists put works on: Etsy (for income) or on their blogs (to introduce new pieces & share what they're up to) or on Facebook (for followers to see what is newly designed & maybe listed) The ART is NOT FREE to use! That is stealing. It is no different than walking into a grocery store. One doesn't walk through the store & eat for free! Food is put there for us to purchase---. Sometimes I post about artwork that is not for sale... it can inspire hearts, minds~ but it against the law to copy it and make it your own.
We all know this. I learned in grade school not to steal my friends answers. People pretend to be naive. People choose to steal.
So many of you that shared have experienced it yourself or know of a friend who has. Hugs shared~
Too many people with talent don't tap their individual creativity. I am sad for them.
Copycats are breaking the law... I will do my best to protect my works.
Thank you, Friends!
So sorry to hear it, but glad you have reported it! I can't imagine her trying to sell someone else's work, especially if she can draw so well :(
ReplyDeleteI recently had a bit of a war on a craft forum, with someone about the "stealing" issue. It is too bad there are so many people out there that seem to think if it is on the internet, it is fair game.
ReplyDeleteWhen you knowingly copy someone else's work and sell it, that IS stealing.
You definitely have a distinct style and you deserve to keep it your own, without others taking it from you.
I hope you can get your problem resolved. Good Luck.
