A special little gift for a very special piano teacher~
(I always begin my paintings with a quick pencil sketch)
We forgot to bring her gift before Christmas...
Forgot it the week after New Year's...
(Lay down a few highlights, adds interest and weight)
Then it was too late to bring a Christmas-themed gift~
Most people had their decorations packed!
(Paint the brightest tones in first, adding a touch of
clear water to create the perfect highlight)
I looked for a new gift with a music theme...
Feeling horrible to be so late sharing a gift with someone so special!
(Begin adding deeper tones and blend with the beginning colors)
Nothing "looked like her..."
(Don't forget to leave a little white spot to capture the
perfect twinkle in his eye!)
I know she loves birds!
I know she loves music!
(Add a few shadow washes under the wing,
down the tail with a deeper red to plump your friend)
The sweetest little black frame with delicate flourish~
Brings her little painting to life!
(Always sign your artwork... it's from your heart!)
It's never to late to find the perfect way to say
Thank you!
I will be coming up with a new little giveaway~
My way of saying Thank You, to all of you!
