Giraffe Treasure and Clothespins...

This adorable needle felted treasure keeps
company with my Sweet 16's felted family...

Bird on Wire Studio has one for sale!!
Abby also has other adorable needle felts in her store.
Her work is gorgeous and makes us smile!

Found this WONDERFUL bag of old clothespins today!
I love to hang our laundry on the line...
95% air dry and then touch-up in the dryer.
These old pins will not hold our laundry...
They are so smooth...
They will be wrapped in my hand-drawn muslin ribbons!
I will share them in my Etsy shop VERY soon!

A very unique clothespin bag design...
Hubby and I laughed to think the hook is strong enough
to support a small lawn tractor!

No more clothespins all over the lawn!
Now let's hope a wild critter
doesn't find it a cozy hammock!

Sweet 16's growing collection of needle felts...
Hope you stop by Abigail's blog...
Bird on Wire Studio
Such a creative gal!

Hope your day is sunny and sweet!

  1. Hi Michelle,
I love that little giraffe, he's so cute and seems to love the clothespins.
The clothespins and bag sure bring back childhood memories.

    Lovely post.

  2. What a sweet giraffe. I remember hanging clothes on the line with clothespins and my grandma teaching me how to hang things just right. I was always amazed that she could handle an entire bed sheet by herself. LOL Happy collecting...

  4. Hi Michelle

i love the pegs, they are so cute and remind me of my mums old ones that she had when I was little.

I recently purchased a teddy artwork that you did as it was SO cute I couldn't resist. I have been saving and waiting to buy something and I can't wait for the mail to Australia to come now!!!

The little giraffe is lovely and the one you made is just gorgeous. I love your blog and try and look every couple of days.

    Have a great week.

  7. Hi Michelle...it's taken me forever to get over here & thank you for your visit but I'm soooo glad I finally did. LOVE your blog....your work is incredible!

Thanks for the needle felted strawberry tut! It's a craft I am very interested in but the only thing I've ever needle felted was my deceased dog's fur into a heart. I treasure it! But I'd sure love to felt a bird or nest...or some pumpkins. Also, thanks for teh heads up about buying wool locally. I've noticed how expensive it is @ HL & Michael's.

  8. One of my greatest dreams is to have a clothesline in my backyard (something I also don't currently have) and to spend a sunny Saturday morning hanging my sheets out with old peg clothespins. These are so beautiful. It's so funny how such a small thing can bring such amazing joy. I also want a real hand-crank pencil sharpener that you can mount to the wall. My heart wasn't built for these modern times.

Thank you, also, for the rest of the post about my work. I'm blushing. I'm so happy you like him. I made the second a little less refined and I think he could use a tail...beauty in the details, eh?

Much smiles and sunshine to you my friend!

    Abby :)
