ReplyDeleteHow exciting that must have been to meet Marjolien! I have been a huge fan for years and have many cards of hers as well as mugs, calendars, paperweights and canisters. I think she is a truly wonderful artist who chooses such beautiful subjects and can illustrate with such amazing detail. I saw pictures of her home and garden which looked like a paradise.

Hi Michelle! I would be just as giddy to meet her. I adore her work. And, yours is just as lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comments on my Journey Through Grace.
Michelle, what a wonderful moment that must have been for you. To finally meet someone that their work means so much to you. I have several decorative painting teachers I hold in awe. I talked with the one I adore while setting up at a convention a few years back, at the time I didn't have a clue who she was. I was speechless when I realized just who I was talking too. I had picture of my work using her designs and she was pleased that I got her dry brush method. We turn into giggly kids again and our brains turn to mush we are so excited to meet them. We go through life with meeting people who leave a lasting impression on our hearts and minds.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness..what an honor..I love her...I have some of her work :)
